Collie Valley

The Child and Parent Centre – Collie Valley offers families free services to support parents of children aged birth to eight years.

During each school term, the Child and Parent Centre provides Collie families with lots of great programs including the popular Collie-Valley Kids playgroup, Baby Business, different healthy cooking workshops, the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten rewards program, HIPPY and a wide variety of evidence and research-based parenting support programs such as The Incredible Years, Circle of Security, Triple P and Hanen. We also run a variety of fun activities for children during each school holiday period so that Collie families always have a safe and friendly space to belong in their community.

Our Centre is a community hub for Collie locals and offers a lovely indoor and outdoor activity area for children, a Nature Play garden reserve, kitchen/cooking facilities and a separate tea & coffee lounge area for parents/carers to relax and socialise with others. We also provide office space for families to meet with support services such as 4Families (children’s counselling) and Anglicare (financial counselling). The Centre also provides a Clinic Room for families to have ongoing access to a Child Health Nurse, Paediatric Speech Pathologist, Paediatric Physiotherapy and a social worker from Child Development Services. If families are seeking support in a different area, a Family Liaison Worker is available to meet with and refer families to the appropriate support service.

The small team of friendly staff at the Child and Parent Centre welcome all families within the Collie and surrounding area, to join a program and/or to pop in to the Centre for a cuppa any time from Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.00pm.
