Regional Community Child Care Development Project (RCCCD)

About the project

The purpose of the project is to establish a more strategic, long term approach to supporting services, initiatives and networks for families and children in regional Western Australia. Each regional plan (9 regions across the state) will feed into a state-wide plan for future planning across all levels of government.

The RCCCD project is administered by the Western Australian Department of Communities and is funded by Royalties for Regions – Department of Regional Development and acknowledges the challenges faced by organisations that provide education and care services for children in country areas including the impact of distance, isolation, limited funding and the hard work and commitment of community based management committees to manage these services.

The Plan

We encourage you to follow the links below to view the final plan and appendices. We look forward to continuing to develop innovative approaches and strategies regarding the Education and Care Sector over the coming months. For now, below is an infographic we’ve developed relating to the sector in the South West, for your reference.
