Overview of the Pod program:
The Pod aims to provide support and resources for both not-for-profit and for-profit Education and Care (child care) services in the South West of Western Australia. The Pod team are developing a new model of support for child care services. This involves working closely with clients to help them problem-solve, by providing a range of functions including but not limited to:
- Networking and skill building
- Business support and development
- Research and linkages
- Consultancy and advocacy
About Investing In Our Youth:
Investing In Our Youth is a dynamic local not-for-profit community based organisation that promotes the healthy development of children and young people in the South West region (WA). It does this by working in partnership with other community service organisations, the business sector, government and the wider community.
Current projects undertaken by Investing In Our Youth include the management of the Child and Parent Centres at Collie and Carey Park (Bunbury); the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY); and the Pod support service for Education and Care (child care) services in the South West.
Investing In Our Youth is managed by a voluntary board responsible for determining the vision and purpose of the organisation. A Chief Executive Officer has the responsibility for managing staff and delivering on the strategic plan. More information is available at www.investinginouryouth.com.au.
Overview of the Position:
The Marketing and Research Officer role is multi-faceted and will involve:
- Managing and optimising the Pod social media platforms
- Providing marketing advice to Pod clients
- Flexibly providing research support on various Pod consultancy projects
- Providing excellent customer service to Pod clients
- Successfully managing functions and events
The Marketing and Research Officer will be an ambassador of Investing In Our Youth and exemplify our culture and values. These include:

A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. By way of guidance, the position will be in the range of Level 5 of the Social, Community, Home Care, and Disability Services Industry Award.
This position reports to the Pod Coordinator. It may also be called upon to provide support to the Investing In Our Youth CEO. There are no positions reporting to this role. The position is one of several in a small and cohesive team that flexibly support each other in times of high activity.
Experience, Qualifications and Clearances
|Experience||A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a marketing role.|
|Qualifications, Certification, Accreditation or Licence||A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise in developing and coordinating marketing projects and plans.|
|Clearances||National Police Clearance|

Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision and direction, across a variety of channels, particularly in the digital space.
Proven expertise in analysing information and experience developing and presenting reports.
